A new holiday tradition at our house is The Great Reindeer Rebellion by Lisa Trumbauer. My mom gave it to my daughter for her first Christmas and it quickly became one of our favorites. It tells the tale of Santa's reindeer going on strike for better working conditions and Santa's problems finding adequate replacement workers. It is cute and funny and a great introduction to unions for kids. The last time I recommended this book I had a friend say it was over $100 on Amazon so maybe you should get it from the library.
This weekend my mom came to visit and we had a fun time reading Christmas books to my daughter, Audrey. One of Audrey and my favorite's is Morris' Disappearing Bag by Rosemary Wells. It's a wonderful story of a little rabbit and his frustration with his siblings and their lack of sharing. But then they share with him once he gets the ultimate present - a disappearing bag. It is an endearing story which I cannot recommend more highly. I hope you'll check it out!
